Pearl Jam kom fram á Hróarskeldu 30.júní árið 2000. Þar átti sér harmleikur þegar hljómsveitin var á sviðinu og 9 manns létu lífið í troðningi. Lagið Alive kemur af fyrstu plötu Pearl Jam Ten sem út kom 1991. Margar hljómsveitir urðu til í kjölfarið, svokölluð Seattle rokkbylgja en hljómsveitin er einmitt frá Seattle.
