Það er ekki margt í texta þessa lags sem bendir til þess að Michael Stipe sé að syngja um hvarf mótmælenda í Guatemala eða að
blómin sem um er sungið feli fjöldagrafir. 40 manns á viku hurfu í Guatemala á þeim tíma sem platan kom út og þeir félagar spurðu sig
hvers vegna kanar styddu það. Lagið hljómar ekki pólitískt en Stripe virkar sterkt á mig þegar hann syngur “there’s something here I
find hard to ignore.” Flestir staðir eiga sér sögu, góða og slæma. Hvers vegna er heimurinn svona ömurlegur?
